Food and Beverage Manager
Job Description
Jump Inn Budget Accommodation is looking for an experienced food and beverage manager to run our onsite bar/restaurant. This position is on a full-time basis with a salary of AUD 65,000 – AUD 70,000 per annum plus superannuation.
You will be required to do the following duties:

Manage the business aspects of the bar, such as keeping a current liquor license, negotiating supplier contracts, taking inventory and reordering supplies, managing budgets, and setting goals.

Hiring and training staff to provide excellent service to patrons.

Research and learn about the craft beers we stock and relay this information to staff

Creating effective schedules and quickly resolving conflicts to ensure that bar is well staffed during peak hours.

Setting and enforcing quality and safety controls.

Ensuring licenses are updated and in line with current legislation.

Review sales and beverage costs and reconcile any discrepancies in accounting. Ensure proper cash management.

Working with diverse personalities both on the staff and patrons.

Mix drinks, pour and serve wine, beer, and other beverages as needed.

Planning and taking part in promotional events.

Address customer inquiries and complaints.

Diffusing tense situations between patrons or staff members to prevent possible safety or legal issues, ejecting unruly persons, if needed.

Maintaining a fun, safe atmosphere for patrons.
To be considered for this role you should:

Be proficient with point-of-sale software.

Be willing to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Can work independently, as well as lead, manage, and motivate a team.

A willingness to work in a fast-paced environment and stay cool under pressure.

Have analytical skills and a solid understanding of accounting principles, business and personal management practices and strategies.

Have 5+ years of experience working in as a bartender, server, or manager in a restaurant environment.

Have a proven track record of providing excellent customer service.

The ability to diffuse tense situations and resolve conflicts

Be physically able to stand and move during the length of shift; able to bend and kneel through shift; able to carry 25 or more pounds of supplies.
