Job Description


Jump Inn Budget Accommodation is looking to employ a Cook for onsite bar/restaurant. This position is on a full-time basis with a salary of AUD 50,000 - AUD 60,000 per annum plus superannuation.


You will be required to do the following duties:

  • Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment

  • Assist head Chef with a daily running of kitchen

  • Prepare ingredients to use in cooking (chopping and peeling vegetables, cutting meat etc.)

  • Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served

  • Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen

  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly

  • Preparation and cooking of all menu items in a busy restaurant/bar.

  • Stock rotation and food safety

  • Maintaining cleanliness in the kitchen

  • Check the quality of ingredients


To be considered for this role you should:

  • Be willing to relocate if you are interstate or in other cities.

  • Be available on both days at weekends and be able to work split shifts.

  • Have a passion for food and enjoy working in a busy fast paced restaurant/bar.

  • Have over 3 years experience as a cook.

  • Ability to work in a team.

  • Very good communication skills.

  • Excellent physical condition and stamina.

  • Ability to work under pressure and have attention to detail.

  • Have Australian work rights.
